Rogue One tells the story of the Rebellions' theft of the Death Star plans as detailed in the opening of the original 1977 Star Wars film. Reflecting classic military films and media such as The Pacific and Band of Brothers, this film follows a band of unknown soldiers that come together to pull off the most dangerous heist in history. Felicity Jones as our main protagonist Jyn Erso delivers an excellent performance as a hardened survivor on her own since a young age, who is drafted to locate her father, one of the main Death Star scientists. We see many new characters, as well as a few familiar faces in this fantastic tribute to the original classic. While we aren't given as much time with the characters as I would like, overall this movie delivers one of the best experiences since The Empire Strikes Back.
