I had never seen the Pearl Harbor movie with Ben Affleck, but as a history major, I had heard about it all the time in my World War II classes. Since I work at HPB, I chose to go ahead and see what the big deal was. I am glad I did. Now, I was not a fan of the love triangle, the woman that can't decide between two men that are so close they're almost brothers. The love triangle almost detracted from the movie, for me. However, I did like the characters on their own when they were not in the love triangle and they were developed well into the story. When Pearl Harbor is bombed, that is when the movie becomes a classic for me! The action and the surprise that was displayed in the movie was gripping and I really felt what people there might have gone through the morning of December 7, 1941. To summarize, the action and emotions of the bombing are what made the movie amazing and the love triangle was just added as a plus, but it, by no means, was needed in the movie!
The story of two friends who join the military during World War II and the attack on Pearl Harbor, and fall in love with the same Army nurse.
