This is the Batman book DC wishes they had. Seriously, this takes writer Warren Ellis and pairs him with the dynamic artist, Declan Shalvey and tops it with an inspired coloring job by Jordie Bellaire and they hit it out of the park. Not a ballpark, a national park, like Yellowstone. It takes the muddled past of the Marvel character known as Moon Knight and makes it accessible to anyone. They give him a fantastic costume renovation and tell several tales of Moon Knight. The high point is the fifth issue in this book which has THE BEST illustrated fight scene I've ever seen. It's just smooth, stylish, yet dark and kind of hardcore. It takes a character that most compare to as a Marvel knock-off of Batman and makes him, in my estimation, more interesting and more dynamic looking than Batman is right now. READ THIS NOW.
