Mighty Morphin Nostalgia

As a kid of the 90's, I look back at the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series as a television show that lacked substance but provided endless entertainment through special effects and martial arts. I have recently renewed my childhood fascination by reading the recent Power Rangers comic series. I can't stop thinking about it. The series begins as each character sifts through the fallout of a recent traumatic event. From there, Kyle Higgins builds the lore of the Power Rangers through relatable characters and a thrilling plot. Higgins excels at using familiar elements from the original show while keeping the story modern and grounded. Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Volume 7 begins with the death of a beloved character that shatters the fabric of Reality. With no time to grieve, the Power Rangers must help a time traveler traverse the grid of universes to save Reality. This series is great for fans with fond memories of the 90's show, fans that never left the Power Rangers fandom, and new readers alike. If you are looking for a modern take of a Saturday morning classic, pick of this book and have a "Morphin' Time!"

The epic start of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' first comic book crossover event: Shattered Grid! FOREVER RANGERS. After Lord Drakkon escapes from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, he sets his sights on one goal: conquering Power Rangers across all eras. From Time Force to RPM, no Ranger is safe as Drakkon's conquest causes the Morphin Grid to shatter, jeopardizing all of existence. But it's this very act that might give the Rangers a fighting chance against Lord Drakkon and his armies. Writer Kyle Higgins (Nightwing) and artist Daniele DiNicuolo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink) raise the stakes as Rangers from across time and space band together to save the universe in this first installment of the critically acclaimed event, Shattered Grid.
