Mad Max: Fury Road is the greatest action movie ever made. While on the surface a 120-minute car chase, the pacing, amazing visuals and strong (though almost silent) performances of the actors transcend the label of 'action movie' and reach the level of 'work of art'. I have not been so excited about a movie AFTER seeing it since Jurassic Park came out when I was 10. Though best experienced in the theatre, the sheer awesomeness of the film loses nothing in its transition to Blu-Ray. Buy this movie. Own it forever. Watch it over and over. Make other people watch it. They'll thank you.
In this long-awaited reboot of the landmark series that helped define the postapocalyptic genre, loner Max (Tom Hardy) joins forces with the mysterious Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) and a group of warrior women as they flee from an evil despot across a sun-parched wasteland.
