Folk tales come to life
Combine Law and Order, The X-Files, Bewitched, Jim Hensen's The Storyteller and The Princess Bride and you may begin to get a sense of the drama, humor, suspense, action, and romance this show encompasses. The brothers Grimm weren't scholars, they were a family of warrior/police equipped with hereditary powers. They were not collecting legends told by the people, they were recording actual events to help themselves and their descendants find, fight and destroy evil monsters disguised as humans. Fast forward to modern day. Portland P.D. detective Nick Burkhart is about to discover that he is a "Grimm" whose powers are awakening and that telling "monsters" from humans is much, much easier than telling apart good and evil...
Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt discovers he is descended from an elite line of guardians known as Grimms, charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures.
