This is one of the funniest retellings of a fairy tale in existence. Mo Willems always seems to have the perfect blend of humor and heart. In this story Goldilocks is referred to as a "poorly supervised child" and rather than a family of bears, we have 3 dinosaurs, Papa, Mama, and a dino visiting from Norway. We love reading this out loud at bed time and doing all of the different voices. Willems makes us laugh as he blends in sarcasm to express the three Dinosaurs dark set up of Goldilocks, who escapes at the very end. Our favorite is the moral, "If you find yourself in the wrong story, leave!" Many times we have to start over once the story is finished and have fun all over again. I would recommend this to any family that still has kids that enjoy being read to. It's fun for them, but it's fun for the grown ups too.
When three hungry dinosaurs lay a trap hoping to catch something to eat, Goldilocks who never listens to warnings, walks into their house and springs the trap.
