Die Entwicklung der orthopadischen Therapie ist in den letzten Jahrzehnten einen ganz eigenartigen Weg gegangen. Urspriinglich in einer Zeit entstanden, in der man das Wesen der lnfektion noch nicht kannte und jede Verletzung der auBeren Haut vermeiden muBte, hatten sich die verschiedenartigsten, aber wohlerprobten Eingriffe herausgebildet, die es erlaubten, eine Fehlgestalt zu beseitigen. Dann kamen die Errungensehaften der Anti- und Asepsis mit dem notwendigen Ausbau aller offenen ehirurgisehen MaBnahmen. Natiirlich haben sich aueh die Orthopaden diese Errungensehaften zunutze gemaeht, ohne aber das alte Redressement ganz entbehren zu k6nnen. Da aber unsere orthopadisehen Operationslehren nur die chirurgischen MaBnahmen enthalten, so geben sie ein ganz unriehtiges Bild yom Wesen und Umfang der orthopadisehen Behand lungsweise. Der gedeekte Eingriff bei der angeborenen Hiiftverrenkung, bei der Skoliose, beim Klump- und PlattfuB geh6ren ebenso notwendig zum Riist zeug der ort40padischen Therapie, wie die Sehnenverpflanzung oder selbst die Gelenksplastik. Endlich geh6rt zur vollstandigen Ausbildung eines Ortho paden noch ein geniigendes meehanisches Verstandnis, technisches Gesehick und Vertrautheit mit dem Apparatebau; denn sehr oft bleiben unsere besten orthopadisehen Eingriffe unvollstandig im Ersatz der verlorengegangenen Funk tion und wir miissenden Restausfall durch Bandagen und Apparate ersetzen. Aber wir besitzen ausgezeichnete Anleitungen und Lehrbiieher fUr diese mecha niseh-orthopadische Teehnik von hervorragenden Orthopaden, auf die ieh ver weisen kann.   • Very Good (VG): Will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.
  • Good (G): Attractive and well cared for, but no longer fresh. Minor signs of wear, scuffing or scratching, but will play almost perfectly. For vinyl: barely detectable crackles or pops.
  • Fair (FR): This item is in okay condition. For vinyl: good is not so good and the record may have low level crackles or pops when playing. CD: one or more tracks may skip.
  • Poor (P): Obviously well-worn and handled. Most vinyl collectors will not buy good or below, but some tracks on CD or vinyl will play.

  • Good (G): This item is in okay condition and basically works well. There may be some minor distortion on VHS tape; slight scratching or wear on DVD.
  • Fair (FR): Basically plays, but may be obviously well-worn with some scratching or tape distortion.
  • Poor (P): Disc or tape is intact, but may be scratched or stretched. There may be skips or distortion or product defects.
