Daredevil was a fledgling B-list Marvel superhero before Frank Miller lent it his magic, noir-tinged touch. His run included the introduction of Kingpin as a Daredevil villain, Elektra as his femme fatale, and the pseudo-Kung Fu "Hand" mythology. All of those stories are collected in this single, over sized volume. It's a true beauty, an artifact of one of the greatest runs in comic book history. If you're looking for some classic comics, or maybe just to bone-up on the character before binging his Netflix show, this Omnibus is the way to go. Note: This omnibus does not contain "Born Again," Frank Miller's return to the title that saw Kingpin learning Daredevil's identity for the first time, or "Man Without Fear," Miller's alternative origin story for the Man Without Fear. These are collected in a Companion Omnibus (long out of print) and easily available paperback editions. Both stories are non-essential to reading this omnibus, and are more like nice treats to read after this book's hearty meal.
"Contains material originally published in magazine form as Daredevil #158-161 and #163-191; and [material from] What if...? (1977) #28"--Indicia.
