A List of Cages is an experience I truly believe everyone should undergo. Robin Roe does a magnificent job at displaying just how important and vital friendship is to every human being. I don't think true friendship is a topic we see anywhere near enough in literature (specifically young-adult novels) and that is one of the reasons I enjoyed seeing it here. A List of Cages is a complete page turner with unique and personal characters you will only want the best for. The plot is strong and, alongside friendship, consists of topics like the process of adoption, healthy/unhealthy relationships and the discovery of one's self.
A stunning debut that shares an exquisite story about Adam, a high-school senior, who rescues Julian, a freshman, from an abusive situation. "A remarkably gripping and moving tale of a life saved--in more than one way--by the power of friendship."--Emma Donoghue, bestselling author of Room.
