With the phenomenon that Game of Thrones has become, my inner person was reluctant to give it credit. The first time I explored the series I found it to be confusing and hard to follow. As I've now discovered though the perspectives, although the plot can be hard to follow at first, the multiple perspectives become a very effective way to connect to every character in the story, good or bad. You'll loathe, love and lie with every character in the book and become 100% invested before you know it. The book is much more detailed than the series, the actions of the characters are better explained and the picture that George R.R. Martin paints will have you finishing this series before the winter comes.
