Scarce first edition, handsomely bound in 3/4 light brown leather over dark tan cloth with gilt titles and decorations on the spine. Slight rubbing to edges and corners. Text-block is tight and intact with these exceptions: half title missing from volume 1 and detached in volume 2. Title page is also detached in volumes 1 & 2. Title pages are a bit chipped in all volumes. Volume 1 tape repaired to second free endpaper.
