Best, friendliest, helpful staff Ive seen in a long time for a book store! Its clean, organized, and have extremely good variety & prices! I love coming here..

Not only do they have a lot of books they have tons of movies and music. I normally like to go to see what I can find, its hard to find exactly what you're looking for. Sometimes you just have to get really lucky to get what you want, but Its really rewarding when you do find what you're looking for!

Other than the downtown indies, this is the BEST bookshop in town. You will absolutely find things you love, hidden gems, holy grails, and great deals. There is a particularly excellent selection of gay, lesbian, and feminist non-fiction. Don't miss their awesome cd selection as well. The records are usually mostly undesirable but I have also found some diamonds in the rough. Check it out for sure!!! And you can go to b&n across the street after.

Im sure Jane likely wont remember me and seems like the type of person that being kind and intuitive is just a natural part of Janes personality. Im sure other customers have probably had many many exchanges just like experienced with Jane but They just may not get documented or even know how to express gratitude for the interaction, so I wanted to make sure that Half Priced Books corporate or owner is aware that they have an incredible employee again by the name of Jane that is going above and beyond what many many other customer service personnel I have had similar encounters with and really enjoys and takes interest in the job and the people Jane meets and their interests while working.Thank you again and will be back again
